INTENSIVE MAT-PLUS
LEVEL 1 (IMP)
The course Intensive Mat-Plus Level 1 gives you all basic knowledge and the special knowledge you need – to lead efficient and motivated grouptraining in Matwork, as well as teaching pilates as a private instructor. After finishing course you are qualified to set up classes and lead training in Matwork Essential and Intermediate, to use the smaller props and to meet the special needs your clients might have.
Aside from the general course targets you will attain knowledge in the following:
• Training program for groups and private training.
• Essential, Intermediate and Power training
• Training with small props like arc barrels, fitnesscircles and flexband.
• Efficient communication, visual ability, verbal keywords and knowledge about what improves training results and boosts client motivation.
• Suitable exercises for clients with special needs.
• Theory and reality about body position analysis.
• Understanding of body types.
• 63 exercises with a number of variations.
Prior knowledge
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and training methods.
• Pilates training
• Experience as an instructor in physiotherapy or training.
Duration
• eight days – often 2 x Thursday-Sunday or 4 x Saturday-Sunday.
• 40 hours instruction by teacher
• 16 hours training and deepening of insight on your own
To achieve your Matwork Certification you further need:
• Minimum 10 hours observation
• Minimum 30 hours of own training
• Minimum 15 hours experience as a teacher

ADVANCED MATWORK
LEVEL 2 (AM)
Advanced Matwork Level 2 is a one-day course dealing with more advanced material. You are given further possibilities and challenges for Matwork training with highly skilled clients. The exercises require high level of strength, balance and coordination. You will also learn:
